Improving the lives of breast cancer patients is at the heart of The Tyanna Foundation which honors a mother’s life, love and living legacy. Tyanna Barre O’Brien lost her battle with breast cancer in 1990 at the age of 48. Her legacy continues today, embodied by her five daughters. It is their commitment to awareness and prevention that inspires and leads the work of The Tyanna Foundation, a 100% volunteer organization. Hosting a variety of events and fundraising efforts throughout the nation, The Tyanna Foundation has raised over $750,000 since it’s inception in 1998.
All proceeds for the Athens chapter of The Tyanna Foundation are donated to the St. Mary's Women's Diagnostic Center.
